David holds a Master of Business Administration, International Business (MBA) from Liberty University, and Certificates in Supply Chain Management (Collaboration and Leadership) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Bachelor of Science (Sociology/Criminal Justice) from Central Michigan University, as well as a Green Belt, Lean Six Sigma and Electrical Occupations Certificate from Bay Arenac Skill Center.  David is currently pursuing his Supply Chain Management (Optimization) Certificate, PMP, SPHR, SAP certifications as well as his PhD in Project Management.

David’s recent lean six sigma project was completed with the US Army and resulted in a cost savings of $5 million in transportation and resource costs.  His recent endeavors and positions include owner of an automotive repair business, private educator, developer, mobility transportation chief, executive officer, and various leadership and logistics positions with the US Army.  David joined the United States Marine Corps in 1981, serving in the Infantry, Aviation, and Military Police; while recently serving with the US Army from 1987 through the present.   Mr. Patton was designated as a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Army ROTC program Central Michigan University, and served as the President of the Honor Society. His most recent award was his selection to Sigma Beta Delta, the International Business Honor Society, through Liberty University.  David has also served as youth director, elder, and assistant Pastor throughout his career.

Prior to the military David enjoyed football, boxing, hunting and working in his father’s automotive repair shop.  He currently resides near ST Louis, Mo, and is a native of Bay City, MI.  He and his wife, the former Sue Ellen Wardin of Hemlock, Michigan have two sons, William and Zachary, daughter-in-law, Jade Patton and granddaughter, Chloe.
